Doggie Love

Every morning while getting out of bed and before my feet hit the floor, Mac’s always right there, greeting me with his loving eyes.

And during the day he likes to stay very close to us…one of his favorite spots is between Bill’s feet.  This way Mac knows he’s sure to get plenty of petting.

Here’s Mac squeezed into a tight spot.  Unfortunately, there’s not much petting happening here due to lack of space!

And when it’s bedtime Brook likes to tuck him in…while doing so she gives him his last, long doses of doggie love for the day.

Happy Valentines Day to you and yours.  I hope it will be a day full of pure, sweet, simple, love.

  6. Bassets are the sweetest dogs I’ve ever known. I’ve rescued animals my entire life. All four of the Bassets I’ve been owned by have all been extremely loyal and very, very affectionate. Ours always want to be touching you. I’ve never had a dog that did not pull away from an embrace. Bassets will let you squeeze them for hours! And then there’s the eyes…Mac, you are adorable! Happy Vday from Shelby and Zoey, Mac.

  13. So sweet, Becky! We have doggy love, too, in the form of two little white fluffy dogs. I never thought I would have white fluffies with runny eyes but I love them!!!

  14. I love dogs and Mac looks like a sweetheart! My “baby” is a German shorthair pointer and thinks she is a lap dog, haha! She is glued to us when we’re home. And Maggie likes to be covered up at night just like Mac – until about 3 am when she decides to sneak into bed with us!

    Happy Valentine’s Day

  17. Love that you have a Basset! Mac looks so very sweet. Tell him Happy Valentine’s Day from my two Bassets – Henry and Georgia – and give him a kiss from me. I’ve had dogs my entire life but Bassets are the funniest, most loving dogs I’ve ever known.

Love the dog pictures Becky-hope you had a great Valentine’s Day. I was sure I was the only one who covered my dog at night. When my jack russell Riley looks at me in the morning with his little “bubble eyes”, I relent and let him cuddle with me for a few minutes. What can I say, he truly “lives the life of Riley”. Always enjoy your posts…Joyce
