Inside the current issue of Somerset Holidays & Celebrations…
…you’ll find my article…
…which features a greeting card…
…pillowy bird ornaments…
…presented in humble paper bags, dressed up simply with a single black bow.
Within the article you’ll find the specific instructions for how to create both the card and ornaments. And BTW, as usual, most of the materials that I used for these projects are from my pile of recycled bits. Making something from nothing is so satisfying…do you enjoy creating with spare parts as well?

Becky you have done it again. Congratulations on your publication. These cards and soft bird ornaments are just the most perfect little non gender gifts to have on hand for all those unexpected guests or visits to others homes. I adore your simplicity of design. I just may need to get busy creating from your wonderful inspiration. Thank you dear…

Wonderful Becky, just wonderful. I love the card with all the music; it’s the music that has always been such a big part of Christmas for me and that card captures it so beautifully.
That magazine won’t land here for another 10 days at least and that will be a long wait indeed!

Wonderful work Becky!
I love the idea of using recycled materials and do that very often. It gives me a nice feeling that I brought to life something that would otherwise be thrown away.
Thank you for being such an inspiration! 🙂

So lovely and now I must start thinking of the holidays – yikes! And I always use recycled items in my work. I have been using buttons from my mom’s collection lately and that is a wonderful way to remember her.

Oh and I love using upholstery tacks too!

I am really getting into creative packaging now, and making my own papercrafting embellishments by upcycling things I already have at hand. It does feel quite satisfying!
Beautiful creations Becky!!
