Hi everyone…I hope all has been well. And I hope that your holiday plans have been going along smoothly. I imagine many of you have been busy-busy buying and cooking, wrapping and decorating, and making trips to the post office and such. Are you all caught up…and are you ready to sit back and enjoy? I hope you are!
If so, and you’re craving a creative outlet, here’s a little something that I made using a cheerful, red birdie stamp as the focal point. Many of you have probably been receiving lots of Christmas cards in the mail and maybe you’ve been saving the stamps like I have. And perhaps you also save mini jam jars. I used both of these items to make the following.
I positioned the feather to reach towards the light, which is life…which is hope.
For weeks now this tune has been playing in my ear…and I hear it loud and clear. Sometimes our subconscious whispers wise and encouraging words.
This Christmas and thereafter, may your peaceful presence be the loving light that warms the hearts in all.

Thank you for your thoughtfulness in sharing thoughts of peace, and hope. Too funny when you speak of songs running through your head, this song goes through my head when I’m walking the dog lately and it’s driving my crazy-‘Roll out the barrel’, once it’s there it’s very hard to get rid of it. Then I try and think of Christmas songs to sing, and that darn song comes back again.
Merry Christmas to you and your family. I hope you’re able to find peace, and joy, and hope. To share love and friendship with those around you.

Lovely, Lovely, Lovely little jar! Oh dear, I’ll have to admit, I purged all my old jam jars, but I’m sure I can find just something to use. I simply Love your design. I think I’ll created one around the song “Oh Holly Night”. It’s one of Tom’s favorites.
My rush is almost over. I have only to make some vegan delights for my daughter who is spending the holidays with us. Thankfully my son and his girlfriend also enjoy vegan food.
I wish you the merriest Christmas and safe travels where ever you venture,
JoJo

Thank you for another lovely idea. I enjoy using jars and have several here in the workroom, full of bitsas. Now I have all the shopping done, it’s time to wrap and hum along with the ‘music box’ all the beautiful carols while I wrap gifts. We do plan on having a peaceful and joyful holiday, with lots of phone calls and catching up with old friends and family. Enjoy these beautiful days with your family, Becky!

this simple but beautiful piece is filled with love and good thoughts. I love using postage stamps too, and of course any reminder of the beach by way of feathers or shells makes me happy as does this jar. Wishing you and your family a beautiful holiday season.

Ahh just the beauty I needed to behold. Yes those holiday stamps are awaiting my inspiration. Your little red bird with the big white feather is precious. Time to sit back and truly reflect on our blessings. Merry Christmas Blessings with Peace and Joy for all of 2015 Dear…

That’s really pretty – all calm and peaceful. I’ve started doing a bit of jewellery making now and want to try and add the same meaningfulness to it that you do. And maybe this year I’ll actually USE some of the feathers/shells/pretty bits I’ve collected!
