Beyond my front door there’s a whole lotta snow piled up out there, and I can’t remember the last time I saw so much of it. After weeks and weeks and weeks of snow and stormy weather with less and less sunshine, the sun finally showed up.
Every part of me greeted this rare occasion with hungry excitement so I wasted no time getting out the door and left my comfy sweats on, quickly stuck my bare feet into some toasty boots, and wrapped a billowy scarf around my neck to help keep the chill off.
Once outside, I took my time drinking in every single drop of delicious sunshine as I headed toward our mailbox which is only across the street.
On the way there I saw this lovely surprise on our driveway. Perhaps I only noticed it because I was walking so slowly, greedily trying to take in as much sunshine as possible. Going slow can be good.
Anyway, never before had I seen snow melted into a heart shape. And it’s interesting to me how the tire tracks give it some context. Earlier, Bill must’ve driven over this same spot on his way to work…I love how he unknowingly assisted in creating this sweet heart. And I love how I was in the right place, at the right time, to receive this simple little something. Thinking about this coincidence put a smile on my face for the rest of that day.

Signs of spring are peeking out here in Oregon. My camelias are already blooming, that really brightens my day. 🙂

Wow, look at that snow! I know it’s the “sun” you are posting about, but I see that sun all the time, and that snow is what amazes me! LOL! I’m glad you got to enjoy the sunshine and a bit of warmth on your face. I guess I take it for granted living here in the desert…I’m always hoping for rain myself. I’ve been watching Big Bang Theory re-runs with my husband and laughing out loud over silly things, that feels so good after a stressful day at work. Sending more sunshine your way. 🙂

third day of lovely sunshine, here, it is already spring (at the moment). Yesterday at lunch I was walking with 18Th degrees and such a warm sun that I did not want to go back home, I just wanted my stroll to go on until sunset 🙂 I have never seen so much snow!!!!

What a wonderful post, Becky! That heart shape is a gift! OMG, that mail box looks like it will drown in the snow soon – hope your postal service is working o. k. with all that snow … How happy I am that the loads of snow we´ve had in December have gone in January …

I just can’t imagine all that snow. I’ve lived my entire life in Florida and plan to keep it that way! I found a heart today too. A sweet little leaf on my driveway. I captured it on my smartphone and posted it to Facebook. Found one in a cookie on Saturday too. That one made my blog. Glad you are finally getting some sunshine!

Oh how I love the sun and how it warms me completely. Enjoy your sunshine and soak up every ray of it. Do what the lizards do and bask on a warm rock…that isn’t covered in snow. :o)
