I just finished making a dozen of these holiday ornaments using vintage tin cookie cutters and kitchen molds. I made this particular batch as a special order for Nesting on Main where they will soon be on display for the Christmas season. I still have about a dozen cookie cutters and molds left, which should be enough to make myself a batch – some to keep and some to share.
Speaking of sharing, I first heard of this marvelous shop from my good friend, Melissa. Melissa has excellent taste and a nose for sniffing out all the best places. She always knows where to get what, and who to “get what” from. Luckily for me Melissa lives in the next town over so we regularly meet up for lunch, enjoy walks together, browse local shops – all the good things in life! And as a bonus Melissa shares my insane passion for making things so we always have plenty to gush on about whenever we get together.

Becky, I love these! And I have all the components to make some, too. Are those bottle caps in the middle of some? I have to laugh because I am always picking up old, rusty bottle caps off the streets when I find them and my family looks at me like I’m nuts (well, I am). Now I have a great use for them! These will make wonderful gifts. Thanks for sharing!!
Blessings, Lisa

Yep, these are bottle caps. I purchased these from Nesting on Main, but normally I randomly find them in parking lots. Like you, I don’t go scrounging around looking for them. However, whenever I do notice them, I HAVE to pick’em up and bring them back to my studio. Please give me a quick holler when you’ve finished making yours – I’d love to see what you’ve created!

Becky,
I am from Maine; I’m married to a Naval career Master Chief. I have
moved 17x’s in 24 yrs…it has been a journey. I have always dabbled in
art..working on an etsy store. Congrats on being in the Somerset Directors Circle..how long have you been a member?!
I see art in everything; just like you said, if not creating, then i view it, serve it or arrange it. It is a daily journey, sometimes with joy; sometimes
sadness, but mainly joy! It is great that GREEN crafting is a new focus;
though I wonder how new it really is.

I’m always homesick this time of year. I love the “Nesting on Main” store.
