Lately I’ve been into making jewelry with leather and feathers. And actually, I’ve been feeling more free-spirited altogether…how about you, have you been going with the flow too? It feels great to let go! And speaking of letting go, I am offering the two jewelry pieces below as a single giveaway.
I was thinking of a walk in the woods when I created this bracelet. The blue colored stone represents the bright sky above…it’s like a big surprise beyond the canopy of tree branches and leaves. The trees in my neck of the woods lately (finally!) have been rapidly filling up with dense, lime-green leafy-life. The air is alive and bursting with energy!
On the quieter side, here’s a necklace which features a single feather. The simple yet stunning beauty of Mother Nature is ever-amazing.
I’m not sure exactly why, but the floaty quality of a feather gives me a feeling of hope. I’ve been wearing a very similar necklace to this one and have found that wearing this token of hope next to the heart feels comforting and reassuring. Sometimes I can even hear a voice inside whisper, “anything is possible.”

Lighter, unencumbered – I agree. Wearing a toke, or keeping it where you can see it daily is a reinforcement, a reminder of what has meaning. But it is more than that – at least to me; it is a way of saying out loud what I think and what I believe and sometimes we realize how much something matters only when we say it out loud.

I can’t really describe how these pieces make me feel, its a bit weird because as I was scrolling down your post I just got a complete sense of calm. Not sure if it was the pieces I was looking at, the words I was reading or if it was a combination of both, anyway I don’t really need to why I just like that it made me feel that way.
I always tell my children anything is possible if, in your heart, you truly believe in it.

these are lovely! Lately I’m drawn to the color turquoise, love how just a little bit of it can make a a big point! And the feather looks like it’s suspended in the air, I can almost see it floating from the sky as a bird flies by.

i am partial to the necklace with the suspended feather. it reminds me of a feather that i have had for about 40 years – a blue jay feather – that i found. it is very special to me.

I’ve always had a strange connection to birds. They always seem to find me when they need me. A broken wing, stunned by flight into a window etc. Love this necklace and the meaning behind it.
