Glimmer of Gold

In the early morning as the sun is rising…

…I feel a wonderful sense of anticipation.

Through the thick of the trees I see the glimmer of golden light growing stronger and clearer by the second.

It is amazing to me how this ball of light can be so beautiful, so powerful…and so full of promise.  I am so grateful for these quiet, early morning moments alone, when I can more fully take in and appreciate the gifts of mother earth.

Below is a look at a necklace that I made that was inspired by the early morning glow of the sun rising from behind the trees.

Every time I wear this necklace I will think about the glimmer of gold that comes so effortlessly every morning.  And a deep sense of gratitude will settle comfortably within me as I move through the rest of the day.

Wishing you wonderful golden light in your every day.

This is lovely, Becky!! I swoon at the mixture of golds, bronze, and leather. So yummy! And I, too, love those early moments of stillness to take in the newness of each day, its wonder, its glimmer, its light. I was also struck by how brightly the sun shines through the bare trees. Soon those trees will take that same light and use it to unfold with leaves. The light will still be shining brightly through those trees, but our perception of it may be as buds, then leaves. It reminds me of those we love who have moved on. They are still shining brightly, although our perception of them is seen in different ways. Thinking of you often!

What a really beautiful necklace inspired by the beauty of the sunrise Becky. I love how you use such meaningful symbolism in everything you create. Because of the neighborhood I live I don’t get to see the sun rise unless I drive to an open area, however, I do get to watch the sunsets and it never fails to bring me to a sense of awe and gratitude. Thank you for sharing the beauty of your sunrise and light.

  10. Hi Becky,
Your necklace is beautiful – I love the rustic look it has. I love the golden light too, but I used to see it at night the most, when we lived up north. I think it has to do with the slant it has in the morning and again at night, that diffuses it and gives it an other-worldly softness… you have captured it beautifully in your pictures and your words….
