  1. Every day brings me joy. This year brought us the longest, coldest winter we have had in years. Spring is going to be most welcomed when it finally arrives! I look forward to my gardens blooming and the different shades of green once the snow melts.
    Happy Spring to you, Becky!

Joy is a choice. My glass is usually half full and each moment is another opportunity to look at the bright side with gratitude. Sometimes easier said than done, but doing it in the moment-to-moment creates such a life in joy. Thank you for sharing yours!!

The beautiful schools for young children in Reggio Emilia, Italy have a kind of motto….’Nothing without joy…’ That’s been an inspiration to me for years… Love the simplicity of your necklace!

  5. I feel the greatest joy when my Endless Summer Hydrangea bushes begin blooming. I have six bushes and they reward me with a variety of beautiful blues, purples and pink.

I like reading what others have to say about their joy- ‘nothing without joy’ what a lovely motto for a school. Spring brings great joy, when you see and hear the birds singing so joyfully (supertramp comes to mind every time). Coming to your blog and reading about your new project, or where you’ve been, that gives me joy. truly it is the simple things in life that make me smile-life itself-pure joy.
enjoy this week-hopefully you weren’t on the receiving end of that big storm that passed through.

I’ve experienced a lot of joy lately! My oldest son was married 2 weeks ago. It was so fun with family and friends. And Spring does bring joy also. The trees and bushes looking like an explosion of leaves and blooms….I never grow tired of that. Thanks for sharing your joy with us Becky!

What a beautiful necklace, Becky! I am still thinking about the article I recently read about your trip to Geneva and the jar of sewing notions!! What a find. For me, joy today is time with my precious 2 year old and my husband. After 3 weeks of tests and waiting for results at the breast care ceter, I am thrilled to know I am healthy and can just embrace life and these 2 precious people I get to share it with!! Have a great day. Thank you for all the inspiration you bring to my creative journey!

  10. What a wonderful giveaway. I would really love this necklace as I chose the word JOY for my word of the year. I have been practicing being joyful on a daily basis and I find that thinking about being joyful actually helps make you joyful. I truly love the springtime and as I sit here this morning I am hearing birdsong from the backyard and that always makes me happy.

Still waiting for the crocuses to pop up, but any day with sunshine brings a special kind of joy. Spring is just around the corner. Joy to you, Becky. BTW, I saw a 1000 pc. bag of little thin wood bits (squares, ovals, circles, triangles) in a school supply catalog. Thought of you and your little tags on things. Gave a great day.

Hi Becky, joy is actually one of my very favorite words! I would love to be able to wear this beautiful necklace. So many things bring me joy in the Springtime but I guess most of all it’s the many lovely songs of the birds and seeing the bunnies play, along with watching everything begin to grow and bloom again. Thank you for the chance to own one of your lovely and heartful necklaces.

  16. Hi Becky,

Have been a bit out-of-touch lately and what do I find today, you lovely blog post. Lately, I’ve been inundated with problems that I realized I have no control, so I let it go when I can and b-r-e-a-t-h. I know there will be resolve eventually.

So what gives me joy, well, at my young age of 62, I suppose it’s the little things. Singing “twinkle-twinkle little star” over the phone to my 2 year old granddaughter, who’s 640 miles away, making it 2 miles on my treadmill, spending time with my 91 year old mother who is in a nursing home now, time in my studio creating fun and whimsical artwork, going through old photographs that can be bitter-sweet at times, but the joys are the memories they conjure. Gathering with my friends and “most” family members give me a great sense of joy. And last but not least, counting my many blessings.

So that ‘s just a small sample of what I consider joyful in my life. Continue having a wonderful and joyful weekend.

    Blessing,
    Georging

Joy is in every breath and every step. As I practice mindfulness I become aware and more connected to the present moment; the sweet songs of spring birds returning, the ice and snow slowly melting and flowing, the breeze, a bud on tree. There is magic in every moment.

Thank you Becky for the chance to win your beautiful JOYful necklace!

The word joy brings me joy! Hearing and seeing the joy of others is contagious, so this was a fabulous question! The joy of spring brings hope and a chance to embrace newness, change, and the beauty God showers on us this time of year. I adore the necklace!

My children bring me joy. I don’t have a green thumb so I don’t have a garden so it’s joyful to see my neighbors beautiful spring flowers. Your beautiful necklace brings a smile to my face as well. Thank you.

This lovely necklace reminds me of a line from an Oscar Wilde poem – “Find your way by moonlight…” It would be joyous to wear it. Simple and beautiful , like the moon.

    Hi Becky!
There are so many “things” that provide JoY during this glorious time of rebirth and renewal – SpRiNgTiMe!!!! Some on the top my list: the wonderful sounds of birds singing their sweet little hearts out; tulips, daffodils, lilacs, lily of the valley, peonies…; baby animals and birds being born; longer days; the smell of the soil after a rain; all the gorgeous shades of green from the trees, grass, plants and flowers!!! Oh my goodness, there’s so much to rejoice and I count your blog posts as another blessing to my day!
    Hugs and Love,
    Jeanette

What brings me joy in the spring–that fresh green greenness of spring and and the cheer of daffodils, and that certain lift in the air, and it feels so good to be outdoors. The season itself is a joy!

I find spring joy in the mixture of colours in the flowers (particularly crocuses) and feeling the warmth of the sunshine on your skin and the first times when you can have your window open in the car and feel the wonderful fresh breeze.

Joy means a nice walk in an outdoor mall where they allow dogs! Who doesn’t smile when they see a cute little dog having an afternoon walk? Beautiful necklace by the way Becky … as always.
