Joy of Wrapping

I thought it would be fun to “wrap up” this week of hearts with some more hearts.

Last month I enjoyed the simple pleasure of wrapping my giveaway items before sending them on their way.  Is it just me or do you love wrapping too?

As part of wrapping you get to cut and sew…

paste and tie little things onto little boxes…

…all “with heart.”

Doing these small artful things fills my heart with joy.

To see the rest of the piece pictured above, please visit Jenny.  Friends + hearts = joy.  I love this equation.

  4. Your gift was just beautiful! I love the little extras on packaging. To me it is part of the gift. I hold onto every little tag, string and ribbon! Have a great weekend. It is going to be 80 here tomorrow! I can’t believe it. I’ll be spending the day junking at Renningers Antique Extravaganza with my good friend Kelley. Just beside myself like a child a Christmas waiting for Saturday to get here. lol I hope you have a great weekend.

  9. Love all the special touches with the wrapping. That piece you made for Jenny is so sweet…I love it! Just curious Becky, I’ve always loved how you use “typed-words” on your art. Even though there are many fonts out there like old typewriters, yours always look so real…are you using an old, “real” typewriter by chance? I didn’t realize you could still get ribbon for one. 🙂

  10. Becca, yes, I use a real antique typewriter. Bill had the ribbon replaced for me a few years ago and it’s been working beautifully ever since. In fact, he had the entire machine cleaned and serviced which cost a pretty penny, but it was worth every cent. The convenience of having this typewriter is practically priceless.
