“Roar”

My incredibly talented friend Cheryl wrote and performed this very special piece.

Cheryl Perreault

When I first listened to “Roar” it immediately drew me in and grabbed at my gut.   This doesn’t happen to me very often but every once in a while, in the face of  authenticity, I practically melt into the experience. Cheryl’s words reach the many sides of me – the child, the woman, the wife, the mother…

This performance is merely 5 minutes (long enough to enjoy a cup of coffee) yet it has the power to linger in one’s mind for hours/days – definitely memorable.   I hope you’ll savor it as much as I did.  (Click the arrow to play – or click the blue word “Roar” to download the MP3 file.)

Roar

Cheryl and I are currently working on a collaborative project (a first for me).  I’ll be doing the hands-on part while Cheryl provides the poetry.  This project should be wrapped up by the end of today, leaving me with a sense of connection…a joining of the minds.  How wonderful it is to have friends who see things as we do!

I am both humbled and honored for this posting Becky!
I loved working with you on our recent project and I highly recommend the practice of celebrating art with a friend !.

And speaking of collaboration… I should add that the beautiful guitar music on “Roar” was performed by my friend Steve Rapson.
    Thank you. Cheryl
