With birds on the brain (this time of year I yearn for them more than ever,) I created these mixed pieces to share with you.
For the focal point of this canvas (4″ x 4″) I used a packing tape transfer of one of my hand painted birds…
…which rests on a nest made of scrappy strips.
As the days begin to grow longer and brighter outside, I feel a strong flame growing from within…signaling me to “emerge.” Are you feeling this sense of hope and optimism as well?
Here’s a little something uplifting and encouraging…
…which I’ve attached to a silvery-chain made from gathered parts, very much like how a bird builds its nest from various findings.
As part of this giveaway I would like to offer you a chance to design your own necklace. You can choose to pick a word from this batch…
…or any other word that has special meaning to you. You also have the option to choose a particular material (mica or metal tag) as well as whether you’d like a metal necklace chain or silk ribbon. And then I will gladly finish up the rest for you by adding a sparkly gem or two…it’s fun to include an element of surprise.

Ah, Becky, hope is here after a sunny (though cold) week, and spring is waving from around the corner! The first purple iris has opened her blossom on my balcony, and I feel some energy coming back 😉

Yesterday I was outside and heard a “different” bird singing. I don’t know what it was, it had a longer tail and was perched on a roof nearby singing away for me!

I love birds and your canvas is beautiful. There are a pair of hummingbirds that come and stay every spring. They build their nest nearby and I wait for the newest family member to come and feed on my patio. My word is and always will be Hope.
