At 6:00 this morning we woke up to this!
And our front railings looked like this.
Despite the cold, dark snowy weather Brook is a sport when it comes to taking Mac out for his early morning outing.
Here are a few more shots of our first snow taken an hour after Brook left for school.
I’m not sure that I’m ready to go immediately from luscious green grass to snow covered ground, but at least this white stuff is beautiful. The annual coming of winter awakens mixed feelings in me. Overall I enjoy the changing seasons, but a part of me wishes that it was warm year round. Perhaps it’s time for me to book our tickets for February break vacation – California maybe?

And I thought it was cold HERE this morning, ha ha! I know we will end up having 70 degree weather at Christmas the way it’s going. Hey Becky, I had to laugh when I was on your website and saw your newspapered bird – I made an angel and some trees just like that! Love your stuff!!
Blessings,
Lisa

Whoah, i heard on the news the winter storm mix from West VA to up your way. Crazy, to see snow this early! You need a long fall; it is cool here,
for this time of year.
It is beautiful, but too soon!

What a shock to the system, no? Snow before Halloween…what does it mean for the rest of the winter?

Hi Becky! Great photos of your first snow. No snow here in my part of California, just the cold weather. I love the panda bear beanie that Brook is wearing. Also, thanks so much for your comment about my submission! I really appreciate it!
Hugs,
Lisa 🙂

I bet all you warm weather folks are still running around in flip-flops. So lucky!

Second snow arrived two days later…today! I’m beginning to sense a pattern and I agree in mid-October I’d rather be wearing flipflops than mukluks!
